The Central Meteorological Department has warned that rain is probable in the state during the next five days due to the potential of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, a yellow notice has been issued in nine districts across the state for the next five days. Based to the Meteorological Department, additional caution should be exercised in hilly areas where rains are expected to intensify. Yellow alerts have been issued for the districts of Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod.
